The Wall Street Journal is reporting that foreign students from China, Brazil, Iran and South Africa will be exempt from the remaining travel bans imposed during the coronavirus pandemic, which makes it more likely for them to be able to enrol as foreign students at US universities to start later this year.
The U.S. State Department has stated that students and academics from countries including South Africa, as well as journalists and a few other categories of individuals from those countries, will be allowed into the U.S. with proper visas.
